Naltharion’s Lair is one of the dungeons in season two Mythic+ rotation. It is a Legion dungeon that people have previously done on mythic+. This dungeon can be great fun. This guide is here to help you know the mechanics so you can enjoy time here.

You will have 33 minutes from the time you start your key to get 100% and kill all 4 bosses.

Rokmora

Once you have started this key you will jump down a big water slide and land in a pool. Once you make your way out you will find many different enemy types. Most are not really an issue but there is one in particular you need to watch out for. The Vileshard Hulk.

Vileshard Hulk: Turn it away from the group to avoid killing them all with Piercing Shards. Much like the mobs in Azure Vault, these do a large frontal cone attack that does massive damage and leaves a nasty dot on anyone hit. It is unavoidable for the tank but should not hit the rest of the party.

Once you have dealt with the trash you will need to jump off the ledge into a pool of water below. On the shore you will find the first boss, Rokmora.

Like the Vileshard Hulk keep this turned away from the party it does a frontal cone Razor Shards.

Kill any adds that spawn, be careful not to stand near them in death they leave behind Choking Dust that does damage to anyone inside it.

Again KILL ALL THE ADDS ASAP.

The boss will cast Shatter which does party wide damage increasing for each add still alive hence why it is critical to kill them asap.

Stand still when the boss casts Crystalline Ground. It’s a large blue circle around the boss that does damage when you move inside it. Stay still.

Ularogg Cragshaper

After defeating Rokmora you will go down another water slide and come into an area with lots of new enemy types. Those to watch out for are the Understone Drummers and Mightstone Breakers.

Understone Drummer: These are your 100% focus. They run to nearby drums and begin beating them which summons more mobs. It cannot be interrupted except with a stun or CC ability.

Mightstone Breakers: Turn these away form the party they again do a frontal cone attack on their target.

After making your way to Ularogg you will find him standing on a ledge with something blocking your path forward. Clear out the area below the ledge so you do not have adds during the fight.

Kill any Bellowing Idols he spawns. They deal party wide damage.

Move if marked. 4 stone hands will appear out of the ground and move inwards towards a random party member. If hit they deal massive damage so should be avoided.

The boss will submerge and summon 5 idols around him. One of them has the boss in it. When all 5 are summoned they will quickly move around to make you lose track of which idol it is. Try to follow which idol the boss is in and destroy it to make the boss come out.

Only one of the idols has the boss in, if you kill the wrong one you have to keep killing the others until you can find the boss.

Naraxas

After defeating Ularogg Cragshaper you will need to make your way to the giant worm or otherwise known as Naraxas. Along the way you will face many of the same enemy types you have already encountered as well as some new ones, the new ones to watch out for are the Stoneclaw Grubmasters.

Stoneclaw Grumaster: These summon additional adds the Tarspitter Grub which they go into a cocoon into a metamorphosis and changes into a new enemy type. Make sure you kill them before they finish the Metamorphosis.

Once you defeat all the trash you will face off with Naraxas. If you played season 1 mythic+ you should know the third boss in Shadowmoon Burial Grounds. This boss is very similar to that.

Kill the adds that spawn quickly. They move towards the boss and if they make it will buff him, increasing the damage he deals permanently.

Move out of the Rancid Maw areas, they slow and damage you.

When the boss does Spiked Tongue pulling you into him, get onto one of the Rancid maw circles and stay there. They will stop you being pulled in and eaten.

Avoid the green poison patches left behind by Toxic Retch, they deal damage and put damage over time on you.

You can use the circles from Rancid maw to slow the adds that move towards the boss to buff him.

Dargrul the Underking

Once you defeat Naraxas you jump down the hole he leaves upon death to find yourself in a massive chamber. There are many new enemy types in this area namely the Emberhusk Dominator, Understone Demolisher and Rockbound Trapper.

Emberhusk Dominator: This is most likely the hardest trash you will encounter in this dungeon and it can be very very deadly. It is mounted on a large scorpion that does a frontal cleave attack on the tank, Ember Swipe. Make sure you turn it away from the party and do not stand in front of it unless you are the tank.

Understone Demolisher: Stun and CC them when they focus a random party member and begin chasing them.

Rockbound Trapper: Make sure you interrupt Bound. This is your 100% priority. If the cast goes through it will stun the tank for 4 secs most likely leading to the tank dying if they pulled many mobs.

Once the trash is dealt with you will find Dargrul the Underking standing at the edge of a lava lake.

Tanks keep away from the edge of the lava and keep the boss turned away from the party.

The boss will do a knock back on the tank so make sure it is safe behind you.

Move out of the lava zones created by Molten crash.

DPS nuke the add that spawns and focuses on a random party member chasing them. This is your priority!

If you are the focus of the add you can run it into one of the Crystal Spikes that spawn to stun it and increase its damage taken.

DO NOT RUN IT INTO ALL OF THEM if the dps is not focusing it. That would wipe the group.

When the boss casts Magma wave the entire party including the tank have to hide behind the Crystal spikes. Magma wave deal massive group wide damage to anyone not behind a spike.

It is safe to return to the boss when the crystal spikes are destroyed by magma wave.

Route Planning

I advise checking the route each week on sites such as Raider.io. These routes are updated weekly depending on the affixes for that week.

Suggested Addons

Mythic Dungeon Tools, gives you the power to create your own routes and check the % of each mob.

MythicPlusTimer, great addon to track % of mobs and the time you have left.

Bigwiggs / Littlewiggs , boss addon that tracks what needs interrupting and when a boss ability is incoming.
