What is the trading post?
The trading post is a cool new feature introduced in Dragonflight. The system works similarly to other games “battle-pass” systems; without having to pay extra for it. It is a rewards shop for completing challenges. Each month there are new challenges (and rewards) to complete of varying difficulty that award you points for the trading post. With each point milestone you will earn Trader’s Tender that you can spend at the Trading Post on Transmogs, Toys, pets, mounts and more. Best of all, there is no tie in to player power, its completely cosmetic!
To find your trading post:
Alliance head to the Mage Quarter in Stormwind (49.5 69.5)
Horde head to the Valley of Strength (43.08, 42.22)
How does the trading post work?
Each month you can earn a maximum of 1,000 Trader’s Tender. Trader’s Tender is account bound as is the cap. Your Tender won’t go anywhere if you don’t spend it, if you don’t like the rewards available this month, hold on to them and they’ll carry over to the next.
Now if you’ve looked at the Traveler’s Log and checked your challenges (Shift-J by default) you will see you can only earn 500 Trader’s Tender this way, don’t fret, you can earn an extra 500 for free just by having your account in good standing from the chest next to the Trading Post!
If you manage to get to 100% progress on your Traveler’s Log bar you will receive a special reward for free! In February it was a mount and this month it is a transmog set. To reach 100% you do not need to do every challenge, you only need to do enough to fill your bar.
If you really like an item but fear you won’t get enough tender to buy it, or you liked other items more and bought those instead, you can freeze items in the Trading Post. Frozen items will carry on into next months shop for you to buy.
To do this simply click and drag the item you like into the empty slot at the bottm and viola! the item will be in next months shop too. As of writing you cannot currently un-freeze an item and you can only freeze ONE item, make sure you are sure.
